Picked up the truck yesterday. Body shop couldn't do it as they didn't have all the paints to mix to make my color..so it's put on hold while we wait to reschedule once they do get the paint.

Seriously? What FORD body shop doesn't have the toners needed to mix a FORD color? That's pretty ridiculous

Had the same happen to me on my silver f150. After many failed attempts they called in their paint rep to come in and match the paint. Waited 3 days for it to come in. Only after this did the paint match correctly.

We don't have a FORD body shop here. This is a private body shop that's doing the work, ford is just footing the bill.

But I am SO happy to have my truck back. Mustang is fun to drive and all, but I have a head cold and the mustang is loud and rough compared to my truck..so the truck is much more pleasant to drive.

I understand. But they should still have that toner especially at a private shop, because they work on a huge variety of makes and models. When I was at a private shop, we had all the limited use toners

I totally agree. I thought it was weird they didn't have it.

Precisely why I elected not to have them 'fix' my truck, freaking body shops I have not had good luck with them over the years.
