Default Flashing engine light

Twice this week my engine light came on and was flashing. It flashed for about a minute than went away. I noticed the truck shuttered while I was driving. Any advice?

2010 2wd 5.4 100k miles

Thanks

usually if it's flashing that means "turn it off immediately" or something bad will get worse

steady CEL means you can keep driving but get it serviced asap

Being the truck in for service, have them pull the codes. Go from there

Usually a flashing check engine light indicates a misfire. Could be a bad COP or spark plug(s).
You should have Auto Zone or Advance Auto or someone scan it for codes. They might be able to tell you which cylinder it is.
