Fixing a soft ride
My truck is a 2014 stock FX4 with 162K. I drive conservatively. Tow occasionally, At 140k I had the front and rear struts and shocks replaced. My mechanic insisted to replace with OEM struts and shocks. Kept the original springs. Within a year the ride was getting worse again. Some bounce over bumps. When I back out of driveway and turn into the street it feels like I am on a trampoline. Dips a bit on stops. The truck (not the wheels) wobble when I test front end with a shar jerk on the steering wheel. I replaced the rear with Ranchos. That seemed like a magic pill. I could tell the difference as soon as I put it in gear. But within a week symptoms are back. Im guessing front struts are bad. Recommendations welcome. Thank you.

Well, you don't have any struts, just shocks and springs. It is certainly possible that new front springs could help, possibly even rear springs. There are other suspension parts that could contribute to some wobble. Has anyone checked your ball joints?
follow up... the truck sat most of 2023 as I used my work van mostly. i got back this truck last month, had the front end components replaced, inducing upper and lower bushings, inner and outer control arms, sway bar bushings, strut assembly and tires. Ride is considerably better, but still not as rigid and firm as my 2007 King Ranch. Kind like sitting on a Laz Boy vs a Swedish recliner.
