First dent

Were it mine...... I would take it to my State Farm agent who would be terribly sympathetic, tell me that branches falling from trees are an act of God and not covered and then give his little FU laugh and smirk.
Then I would go get the PDR guy to fix it for $100 or $200 and it'll be good as new.

I had a small dent in my hood from ice falling off my workplaces roof and they wouldn't even try to fix it. They said they've tried it before and ended up chasing the dent around the hood because its aluminum. They ended up replacing my hood at around $3600. Luckily my works insurance fixed it. Might be worth using your comprehensive insurance if you have it. Let us know what the auto body shop says! I still have the old hood in my garage just incase I need it lol

They did offer a standard ding repair (body work, bondo, repaint the hood). $350.
I'll probably get it fixed, but it's a bummer because I had some money saved for a spray-in bed liner....

that sucks man. we had a huricane last year so i parked mine in the shop at work. the next morning there was a big piece of metal flasing of the roof in my parking spot where my truck would have been. the wifes fiesta was right beside it and it missed hers.

I got the same story....aluminum hood, tricolor paint...etc. They told that I wouldn't be happy with a no-paint-dent-repair...basically they would turn one big dent into a bunch of little tiny dents and since I can see it from the driver's seat...and the hood is pretty flat right there...they don't want to do it, they don't think I would be happy.

don't be fooled into thinking agents make those calls. only the adjuster that comes out AFTER you've filed a claim can yay or nay it.

I feel your pain. This was my truck after a major hail storm on March 31st. Ended up with a new roof and hood. Total damage do my truck was something like $6200.00.
