Default Finally had the integrated brake controller installed

Local dealer charged $300 for everything. I needed it quick as I plan on going to the dragstrip Friday night and need trailer brakes. I remember saying the day I bought the truck over a year ago that I would have it installed within a week. Yeah, that happened. Anyway, why in the world would Ford install a tow package without it? I hooked up to the car trailer tonight to make sure it worked. I got all kinds of new information on my screen. Now I lost my wallet cubby. Bummer.

That is a great question, who would have thought a tow package would not consist of a trailer brake controller! I mean they pre wire the truck for it! I would have gladly paid an extra $200 bucks to have one from the factory.

I just had mine installed the other day, I had the coastaletech lockpick and when he flashed the system to turn the controller on it disabled the back up camera. Had to have the lockpick uninstalled and then get truck back to dealer for warranty reprogram, everythings working good again minus no more lockpick. Pain in the butt, upside they only charged me cost for trailer brake controller installed, $140! Haven't had a chance to hook it up to a trailer yet, will get to it this weekend, but it shows gain and no trailer attached so hopefully everything will go well!
