Finally got some Rigid lights.

Hey everyone...I'm seeking some advice. I bought two sets of the duallys, one spot, one flood...got em all mounted up and good to go. I ran the wires to the first set, it worked perfectly. Now, the second set, wired it up, attached the red to the positive side of the battery, black to the negative, plugged in the switch and as soon as I did that I heard a click, then I flicked the switch and the lights didn't work. So, I've got a set that do work, and a set that don't, both wired up the same way.
Does that click mean I blew the fuse in the second set? Do I need to replace it? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance for the advice...wiring is my weakness.

Did you check the fuse?
Did you make sure the switch was wired the right way?
Did you try to power the second set with the first sets plugs to make sure they DO work (can probably skip this)
My guess is that the fuse popped. Probably wired the switch wrong for that fraction of a second. If not the fuse, then the switch popped - you'll need a new switch.
Its one of the two.

I'm thinking I may have popped a fuse when I wired the switch...I may have plugged it in the wrong way. I guess I should switch fuses from the working set and see if that's it. If so, would I be able to get replacement fuses at an auto parts store, etc? I'm hoping it's not the switch itself. I'd have no idea where to go to replace it.

O , just switched out fuses and the set works...so it's the fuse. I must have popped it when I wired up the switch the wrong way. Would Advance Auto or Pep Boys have replacements? Any suggestions?

Always wire everything up THEN hook up power, that usually prevents these things from happening. Also make sure when you wire the switch that the spades are spread far enough out, some times even when wired correctly they accidentally touch and create a short.

Thanks everyone...I'll post some pics tomorrow once I get a new fuse and have everything running. One more question...for those of you who used the stock switches that came with the lights, what size hole did you drill into the dash to make the switches fit nice and snug?
