My next door neighbour and two of my buddies drive 2013 Laramines. Nice trucks, but I can't tell them that....

Yeah, I really tried to keep the F150. I went to orthopedic doctors, had x-rays, physical therapy, month’s worth of anti-inflammatories and steroids, deep tissue massage therapy, padded the seat by an upholstery shop, sat on padded cushions, sat on beaded cushions, and had a MRI. It was last week, when I reviewed that MRI with the orthopedic doctor and he said the truck seat is causing a nerve impingement and it will not go away as long as I keep driving the truck, I decided it was time to move on. I still wanted a full size truck, so I went with the 2014 Ram.

WOW, I find the seats in the F150 very comfortable, my wife is a devoted Grand Cherokee Limited driver and I have to say, I can't drive her Jeep for more than an hour before my back starts hurting. In 2010 I looked into leasing a Ram 1500, and fortunately I have a friend who works for Enterprise Rent A Car, he gave me one for the weekend, it felt like my back was against a piece of plywood. As they say, an *** for every seat, good luck with your new Ram.

For those that wondered, I've put about 350 miles on it so far. Honestly, it drives great. I didn't have the clunky driveshaft noise, no popping in the steering wheel and no stumbles on takeoff...all that I had in the 8 months I owned my 13 F150. The 5.7L is very impressive....very very quick...not twin turbo quick, but quick. I love the V8 growl! I also loved the turbo whistle. Even though I was romping on the gas from time to time to break it in, I still averaged 18.8 mpg....I calculated it manually. I'm sure the 8 speed transmission had a lot to do with that.
