Default Finally a fix for those with larger tires and traction control issues

New TSB 11-02-05 for 2009-10 F150. Reporgramming ABS module for tracion control light flashing. I reprogrammed my truck last week and have had no issues since. I have Goodyear Duratrac's 275/70/18. Hopefully the dealer won't give you a hard time about the lift and larger tires but with the TSB and a known issue they should take care of you.
ISSUE:

Some 2009-2010 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a condition where the Trac Control indicator is flashing or illuminated with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) C1278, C1280, C1282 and C1963 stored in the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module. In addition, some customers may complain of intermittent nuisance activation of the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) during low speed turning maneuvers while towing a trailer only.
ACTION:

Reprogram the ABS module to the latest calibration using IDS release 71.02 and higher.

Well, I'm glad it they finally did something TWO YEARS after people started reporting the problem... I'm guessing that the 2009's and 10's have been out long enough now for people to be putting new tires on them and the complaints were starting to get a little "too public"...

had it done this past Wed. Shop manager didnt seem to thrilled that i came in with a printed version of the TSB, but sure was able to build the guts to tell me that the TSB that was posted on this site was exactly what the problem was....result.....fixed. nice knowing that the power will be there when you turn.

to the OP thanks a billion for posting the TSB.

I had this done and it works. I am glad there is finally a fix.

My local dealer wouln't do it because of my larger tires. They kept claiming it wouldn't work and refused to even discuss the TSB.
I went to another dealer and they downloaded the TSB from Ford and updated it on my truck. Took less than an hour and it was fixed.
I found myself a new dealer.
