A few 13's showed up on the local lot.

[QUOTE=McD's150;2019340]Here are some horrible, horrible pictures from my iPad. I could only find two on the lot, but I'm positive there were 5 earlier. So I'm guessing the managers or salesman took a couple home. Or they sold a couple.
Ford better start throwing out some more incentives soon if they want to get rid of all the 12's. I counted over 40 12's on the lot tonight.
I talked to a salesman about a 12 FX4, and with X plan and 4000 in incentives the price was still 38980. Sticker was 46890.

Thanks for the info and pic's!!
It doesn't surprise me you have new metal, already on your local lot, as you are just minutes away from the KC plant....what maybe 15-20??
Also, I notice on the window sticker, if that is a build date of 08/13/12 (hard to read) that would be one of the earliest build dates there is; maybe even on day-1?
I noted the earliest build date of one of the trucks on Galpin's inventory, and it is 08/14/12; but it is most likely still a couple of days out on the truck....?
You are right, about the incentives; as new 13's fill the lots they will have to really deal on those 12's; especially with the marked differences in grill, lights, and that nice fresh interior, which makes a '12 look dated.

I rest my case!
I was being kind by stating that some dealers were saying late Oct. to early Nov.; I do recall some dealers stating previously to other members, that it would be December!!
I wouldn't put it past some of these guys to [hide] any new 13's which arrive, for another week or two, until they push out more of the old 12's.

Yes, I live about 20-25 minutes from the plant. When I pulled up to the lot earlier I didn't see the fully loaded Lariat I wanted to look at and take pics of. And the first thought in my head was they were hiding the 13's in the garages or something... But then I found the other two.
Still makes no sense to start filling the lots with new trucks when you can't get rid of the old ones..

Ouch. Not a fan of the Lariat with chrome package grille - I was leaning in that direction. May have to skip that.
Thanks for the photos, much appreciated.

I stand corrected, I thought the white one was a Lariat. Anyway, the XLT chrome package grille is the same and I really don't care for it.
I agree with you that the wheels look a lot better.
Not sure what I am going to do yet, trying to find a '12 to my liking.
Actually found a white FX4 with all the options I want other than it does not have the 20" wheels - wish it had them. Tough choices in life, lol.
