Factory rear bumper with factory receiver assembly question
I'm looking at purchasing an aftermarket rear bumper. I know that the factory bumper/receiver assembly comes off as a unit when it is unbolted from the truck. Can the receiver portion be separated from the factory bumper and be used on the aftermarket bumpers?

I haven't looked at that part of my truck recently, but from what I can see in the AllDataDIY diagrams, the receiver's mounting plates are sandwiched between the bumper and the frame. Presumably, the new bumper would use the same mounts as the factory unit, so the receiver should go right back in there.
