Default Factory all-terrains!?

I've searched for a lil while but couldn't find anything. I'm probably sure there is but the search function on the iPhone app isn't that great. When I bought my 2013 FX4, the options said OWL all-terrains. They're Goodyear wrangler sr/a's. they didn't look like a/t's so I searched for em online. Online they say they're all-season's not a/t's. I brought this up to the salesman and he said that's from the factory and they could've messed up. Should I push em to put REAL a/t's on since that what the sticker says? Or are they actually considered a/t's?

It probably had to do with rim size too. I would say something though, at least you didn't get the wonderful pirellis...

I searched for a good while earlier online and found out that ford does put these on as all-terrains. I think ford shouldn't mislead people by calling them all-terrains. I don't know much about tires, but I wouldn't call them all-terrains.

Well most stock tires are not what I would consider great....
Guess you will have to do like myself and a lot of others have done and put on different rubber.
Good thing is that most tire shops will give pretty good money for the stock take offs.
And does any manufacturer really put a true all terrain on their trucks?
Besides the Raptor that is....

Ford does offer Goodyear AT/S tires on the 18 inch wheels I think it's a $245 option. They are the all terrain option for the 18's the SR/A's are an all season tire.

Chevy uses the Bridgestone Dueler A/T. That's a Chevy though.

I Have a 4x4 offroad that came with the sra's, and they arent good for anything but a quiet ride. They are no more an at than the tires on my wifes altima. I brought this up to my dealer and tried to atleast get them to swap in the wrangler at/s, wouldnt do it. I beleive that anybody that needs 3.73s, skidplates, and a locker could also use a better tire. The sra's have their place, but not on a truck labeled offroad.

Dodge puts the bfg a/t on the powerwagon. Toyota has a package for the tacoma and tundra that does too.

Maybe your dealer will do something for you but Ford has been calling the standard equipment tires on F150's all terrain for years, on hundreds of thousands, more likely millions, of F150's.

If you go to the Goodyear site and read about your SRA's, you'll see this "WetTrac® technology for confident wet traction, all-terrain capabilities, and a quiet ride".

These certainly aren't what we would call all terrain tires but be thankful that Ford stopped using the even crappier RTS's.

The sad thing is, they are better than the pirelli's.... LOL>

Does your window sticker have the a/t tire option on it for 245 or 250 bucks? It should be listed as a separate line in the option column....

If you do you should have gotten the wrangler at/s. (which is a pretty good tire)

If you don't and it just says a/t in the features section, you get sra's.

I think maybe 1 f150 in 10,000 springs for the at option. I haven't seen one in a long time, most dealers don't order that.
