I used the clamp style paper clips, and attached the LED to the running board.

I wouldn't call it a lot. I took the tip off, held the tube at a 45° angle and ran probably an 1/8" bead the length of the strip I cut. Once it cured for a few minutes I laid the strip on it and pressed it down with my finger. The excess oozed out and I wiped it off gently with a rag. I don't know why, but it stuck really good.

So I tapped into the thin yellow-green and thin solid black and I'm not getting any light on the led strips. I made sure to test them b4 putting them. Now what?! I have a 2013 lariat

I grounded mine to one of the bolts that hold the running boards on. I'd say try a different ground location to start with.

So the wiring diagram in page one is wrong. Found different color pattern. Which cables are you using?
