Question F150 won't shift

Howdy

My brother has a 2009 stx 4x4 single cab truck. It is -16 where he is at and it started right up in the morning and he drove it to the ranch and parked it. and then he walked around the place and came back and it won't shift out of park. Is it froZen or what do y'all think?

Thanks

Sounds like the linkage is frozen. Also have him try turning the steering wheel while it is running and press firmly on the brake and try it again.

I was under the impression that they were all electronic vs. mechanical linkage.
