Default F150 vs the Yellowstone River!

Driving across the bridge and I spotted him about 1/2 mile downriver. I got there quick to give assistance if needed. As I was driving down there across the big rocks, I was thinking "I sure wish I had my F150 with me" but I was driving my Ranger today instead. Surprisingly enough, I was able to pull him out with the Ranger!

What a feet for the mighty Ranger!

It's awesome that you were able to help and hopefully there were no injuries. Swift moving water can quickly make a water crossing a bad day.

One of the cops said to me..."Ummm..You pulled that out with that Ranger??" They were surprised to say the least. Me and another guy in a full sized Chevy were the first ones there and he wasn't going to have any part of hooking up to that F150.

Would that be a total loss?

It was still running surprisingly enough, otherwise I don't think I would have been able to pull it out just dead weight. That thing poured out water for over a minute. I don't think that is a truck I would want to own after that! The cop did end up driving it out under it's own power to the bridge access.

With the river being lower than normal this year I think he thought it was tame enough to have some 4x4 fun. No common sense now a days

He is lucky he didn't ingest a bunch of water into the motor.

Well the air intake is up high on the driver side fender, so that may have saved it.
