another option is to hire a local guy to tow it - but don't cheap out and not get someone who is insured .... i think uship.com has drivers (but again, make sure to get someone who knows what they're doing, has the right equipment, and is INSURED as a lot of low bidders are just gambling they won't damage your goods)

First I must say, your one lucky man. My dream is to own a Yellowfin, I know a guy with two. One 24' bay and one 32-36' offshore. Y'all some lucky bastards for sure. As for the truck question, I understand that you don't need a truck, you only need it to pull every so often. You have got to have a friend with a 3/4ton huh? Couldn't you fill up his fuel tank or bring him fishing for a tow? **** if I had a 3/4 ton I'd drive 150miles one way to hook up to the boat and tow it for you for a trip!! Please post pics of your beauty!! Wayne

Why don't you just get an F-250 without a crew cab? From what yo usee on the road, it would seem that F-250s com only in crew cabs but you CAN get them in supercabs. i am not sure how big your family is, but if they can tolerate it, a 145" F-250 would have great payload and be ok easy to park. My 145" F-150 is definately the limit I would want in and around Milwaukee. ...Just built one on website. Actually it's 142" WB but whatever. Plenty of payload though!

I am brand ignorant when it comes to boat. I guess we had a little 14' fishing boat and my dad kept fixing that little 25h merc for the last 20 years. Now that i can afford buying something nice i want to get a pontoon. Talked to dad today and he said to look for an older toon and restore it our self. Seems like my family like it the hard way lol. But them yellowfin is really snazzy

Don't forget anything over 102" wide requires permits in almost every state. I'd guess your boat is probably around 10' beam which would require an oversize permit. Anything over 12' ft also requires an escort vehicle.. with flashing lights etc.
I owned a 40' SeaRay that had a 13'11" beam and there was no towing this baby without a really BIG truck! lol. A lot bigger then a F350 but you don't haul a boat like that around anyway. You move it to the water and leave it there….. lol It weighed around 24,000 lbs……….
Anyway good luck with your new boat and hope you have many enjoyable voyages!!

Dealer told me....
I asked the salesmen at my local dealer and they assured me that the escape would have no problem towing that load.
The sales people would not lie. (Further you are reading this on the internet so it must be true)
Seriously +1 on renting a truck twice a year. Not worth it in any way to own one for the uses you have described.
Nice boat btw.

Call a towing company and see what they'd charge. Trucks break down all the time and the trailer would have to be towed by something, so why not a tow truck !!
