Hi -- I'm new to the F-150 and to this forum. I just purchased a 2010 Super Crew 4x4 Lariat and love it. But I want to start to modify its looks.

My first mission is the grill. I really don't like my stock one. I am not crazy about its layout and it's all chrome and I would like something with some black in it.

Ideally it would have the chrome surround and the inside would be black honeycomb (like the 04-08s): https://www.f150forum.com/attachment...grill-0031.jpg

What black&chrome options are there? I have searched the web and haven't really found what I'm looking for.

Any ideas? Any photos of your truck with a similar grill idea?

If it is (and its the one from Ford that I really like), you could easily get some wide durable black tape and tape over the slats in the middle.
You'd still have your chrome surround, and any rock chip damage to your grill could be easily repaired with another strip of tape. Or if you live where winter rock damage is not a concern, mask off and paint the middle section any shade of black (gloss, semi gloss, flat black) that you like.........JMHO

Look at the FX4 or Harley grills.

 

Harley is the only OEM grill that looks better than the lariat IMO. That or the Platinum with TREX inserts
