I'm really confused.
Were you driving or your wife?
Was she freaking out or handling it well?
Was it redlining or not?
How did she phone you while the truck was accelerating uncontrollably?
Was it put in neutral or was she afraid to?
If she was standing on the brakes, the throttle would cut out.
She's a stock car driver but can't drive defensively?
Maybe I'd better read from the beginning again.
Anyway, hope something works out in the end.

Edit: No, I'm still confused.
And all this with a newborn baby in the backseat.

Okay so this morning I took the bait on this...

6:15am, headed out on the highway. Not a soul in sight. I rolled a bit from the on ramp, spooled the turbos, and then pegged the gas to the floor (which by the way, if you haven't done this yet... do it just once, because Holy *****)

Once the truck got up between 85 and 90, I clenched up a bit, and then took my left foot and stomped down on the brakes as hard as I could (i'm 5'10" and 260, so pretty hard).

Once I got done pulling the last couple of teeth out of the steering wheel, I realized that the truck came to a complete stop between the right lane and the shoulder, still happily humming along at 3800-4000 rpm.

Moral of the story: This truck is FAST but the brakes override the accelerator.

Pfft...Webster's called. They want their word back. You told them you "only wanted to look at it".

I used to see this discussed in the 04-08 forums when I had my 06. The general consensus was: this usually occurs if you have enormous feet or 2 left feet.
