My 13 FX4 gets really cold as well. I live in Houston, Texas and its only gotten up to about 93-94 but the heat index puts it over 100 and I can't run it at full power or I freeze. Never measured the temp coming out as I have no way of doing so but it works as well as any other vehicle I have had.

Sometimes I notice it warms up a little when I stop at a light but overall I am happy with it. I haven't done the insulating mod since I haven't had any complaints about it.

My '13 is very good also, like another poster said I turn the fan down low to keep from freezing!

So what's the difference between the guys with good ac and guys like me? The coldest I've seen mine is 46 and that's at 80 outside.

I did add insulation to the suction line. I didn't really check the outlet temp before.

I'm originally from Chicago, and am one of those guys who run hot-blooded, so it's pretty hard to freeze me out.

With that said, after about 5 minutes of running my truck (having started it in 95 degree temps) I find I need to turn it down a few notches so as not to be uncomfortably cold. LOL

Mine is a 2011 and my A/C will freeze you out. If my truck is heat soaked from sitting in the sun for several hours it takes about 5 minutes or so before it starts cooling off. I put it on max A/C and roll the windows down part way to let the heat out and within a few miles it's blowing cold air and I put the windows up.

My 13 gets pretty chilly but it takes about 5 minutes which is to be expected. I live in south Louisiana and it is VERY warm and VERY muggy. I had read all the complaints prior to owning my truck, and don't see any of the problems first hand.

My 2013 FX4 blows freezing air, I keep it set at 70 AUTO all the time, if I put it lower than 70 when I get off a highway and start driving around town, cold vapor comes out of the vents, it looks like it is smoking. No complaints with any of my previous F150's when it comes to cold air conditioning.
