This is a warrantable concern, do not let them tell you it is not. I work for a Ford dealership, and we have been replacing them for awhile now. Ford knows about the issue, but current it is not a recall, just a covered warrantable concern. The entire backglass will be replaced, with an upgraded part where they changed the wiring to correct the problem. It only happens on trucks with power sliders and rear defrost, when the defrost is on. Good luck!

It all the fault of the EcoBoost. Too much power tweaks the truck and makes the glass break.

yes. They changed the wiring in the window so newer trucks do not have the issue. However it is possible if you have an early built 13 to have the old wiring, like if your build date was before 6/12. Ford has not given out build date info on this issue as of now, so there is no exact date that they changed out the wiring that I know of.
