Exide battery

I say buy a battery that has a good warranty and one that you can easily exchange if something goes wrong. Buying from a place like HD should make the exchange easy as they are everywhere.

Yeah they are a big brand and a good battery. Wouldn't hesitate to buy one especially if you have a discount. We use them at the Kenworth dealership I work at. Good warranty and don't seem to have any problems with them as far as crapping out early.
The last Exide battery I had lasted 9 years. It was still good (holding a charge and starting the high-compression 400 smallblock in the Chevy it was in) after 9 years, but it was a side-post battery, and had started leaking from the positive post at that point.
