Exhaust tip

I have a 2012 5.0L stock exhaust. This might sound stupid but would a 4 inch tip change the sound of the exhaust??

I've got a 4" tip on my 5.0. I can't really tell if it changes the sound any but it sure does look good.

No exhaust noise change by adding/removing a tip.
