Default Exhaust size question

I was wondering if I went true dual with a 3 inch exhaust going into a 2.5 inch inlet/outlet back into a 3 inch exhaust pipe, will it affect anything major? Will it hurt the exhaust flow a good amount? Thank you in advance.

Yes there will be more restriction, how much I do not know. the reduction will be more for an Ecoboost than a 5.0 (slower spooling of the turbine). KM

Welcome!

Try putting the vehicle info down for better answers. Normally trying to modify exhaust won't do much other than change tone...... Unless other mods are done.
Are you changing things for performance, or sound, or?

I asked Google and received different answers so I figured I'll ask a forum to get some answers from experts or people that has had experience
