Default Exhaust help

I just purchased a dump for my 4.6 f150. I was wondering where the best place to put it would be. A foot before the muffler? A foot after the flange? I need help so I don't mess anything up lol.

I think dumps sound like crap. Sorry, it's just all that sound bouncing between the ground and the floorboard. I love loud exhaust, just not trapped under the truck.

It's a cut out and im making a pimento go from the cut out and have it direct the exhaust in front of the wheel but it wont be noticeable.

idk where u live but back when i had my 5.0 foxbody stang here in texas they wouldnt pass my inspection because it dumped before the rear axle idk if its differnt with trucks but i would go to ur nearest inspection spot and ask them about legalities of ur dump pipe and where it has to be

if its a splitter there u have either a manual or elec cut out flange most pple tie it into there down pipes (i would put it somewhere between where the 2 pipes come into 1 and the resonsator)
