Default Exhaust help

Getting ready to install MBPR cat back dual rear outlet over the holidays. Instructions say if you don't use a lift, you may have to cut the OEM pipes to remove. I think I've heard people on here say otherwise. Is there any tricks I should know? What about the spare tire - leave it or remove it for install? Despite what my manual says, mine appears to be a full size spare.

You will have to take the spare tire out from under the truck and remove the protective shield. You will also need to raise the rear end up pretty high. From there you can twist and wiggle it out of there.

havent been under the rear of a 2011 but i removed the exhaust on my 2010 without removing the spare tire or lifting the truck. so my suggestion would be to try it out see if you and a friend can wiggle it out before going through all the extra work!

Well, got the old one off without cutting. Had to jack up the back end without lifting the wheels, to give a little more room between axle and frame/body.

Good to hear, I'm waiting on my stainless works exhaust and plan to do the install myself. Any other pointers/suggestions for the install?

Just installed a AFE cat back on my sisters boyfriends Ecoboost and you don't need to cut it. Just have some one lift up the bed a little bit and it will wiggle out pretty easy

Leave all your clamps loose till its all on, then align and start tightening from front to back.

Clean all your greasy paw prints BEFORE you start it up or they'll mar the beauty of your stainless. I don't know about stainless works, but the MBPR is way too pretty to put on the bottom. Still, you can see it from the wheel well (even with the rugged liners!). Glass cleaner works well.

Good luck!

Sounds pretty good. Has a nice growl to it and you can hear the turbos better. Supposedly he can feel a little difference in power but I haven't driven it just rode shotgun so I can't really tell ya but I would like to have one on my Eco. I think I'm gonna wait for a turbo back straight exhaust to come out though. I did that to my diesel and loved it do I'd like to try it on my Eco next
