correct. coax cables, printed circuit boards have dielectrics which alter the velocity

I have a TIG so I did the work myself. Going around tubing with either mig or tig isn't too much harder.

You could always get everything prepped yourself, then take it somewhere to weld. I would guess weld time on a bench would be less than 10 minutes.

Not sure why you would want to alter the stock exhaust which is an efficient flow through design unless you wanted more noise.

Not much to gain from louder after market intake bolted to stock engine either.

If you read my first post of the forum, I had indicated wanting a little more volume with the muffler swap. I was ballparking about a 10dB increase with the muffler change.

Looking into the stock muffler, there appears to be a large cutout in the middle of the muffler to where a similar effect could occur.

There is zero average flow through the resonator tube I added (it's capped).

if you do try something like this, then post up the details and results (even if you find something that doesn't work).

Are you one of the few that can weld an ice cube to the ceiling and not loose a drop? Hats off to your fab work.
