Default Exhaust

Would it sound better if I ran a glass pack right after a cat and then a y pipe from that to go dual from there or if I ran a y pipe after the cat and then a glasspack on each pipe?

Many like the magnaflo with 2 pipes out in front of the rear tire.

A lot of those people are also complaining about the drone that the Magnaflow's cause even with the 40 degree bend behind the tires.

Basically there are 2 choices in muffler design chambered or starit flo. If you look for unchecked performance get strait flo. If you want smooth sound and not interested in top performance get chambered, even gibson style with packing. Glass packs are strait thru and develop a distinctive back down sound coming to a stop light. If that is your wish? Perty much, Power/smooth/backdown sound are your 3 choices. Than you have stainless or non stainless with stainless lasting longer but costing more. If your exhaust system beauty isn't top priority then why put stainless on and eat the cost for a longer lasting system? I do believe the happy people with exhaust in front of the rear wheel are the V6 young Varoooooomers. Even strait pipes doubled up for extra boom. It is hard to beat the single muffler design in a truck for all around performance, but duals with an H or X can add performance if you seek to RPM horse power, loosing some torque though. The large over all diameter design of a single is also budget minded. Otto on another thread knows his stuff if you want to check him out.
