Default Evan Temp sensor interchangeable?

I replaced my Evap temp sensor with one for a F250, mine is a F150 which I could not find one for. The guy at the garage said they were the same. Do the have the same ohms? Compressor still will not shut off and cycle. Runs all the time till eventually evaporator freezes up. Replaced pressure switch, compressor, condenser, and expansion valve, all Motorcraft parts. Any Ideas?

No they are not the same. Someone led you down the wrong street. They are very different resistance values. The only way to get a new one is to buy a new evaporator assy from Ford. I saw this on Ebay, cant swear it will work but it is an alternative to a new Evaporator.

Did the compressor disengage when you disconnected the evap sensor? What is your configuration? EATC? Navigation? Reason I ask is I had an issue where the compressor stayed engaged even when the AC was turned off and it was a bad FCIM module due to some liguid that had been spilled into it before I purchased it. Mine has Navigation and Sony system.

No, the compressor cuts off when I unplug the evaporator sensor and will shut off when I press the A/C button on the controls. I have the dual air automatic system that I assume came in all the King Ranches. But my King Ranch didn’t come with the Sony audio system, but has aftermarket touchscreen in now.
