Sorry if this is a stupid question. I question myself the more I read the info.

If you purchase a 5 year 100,000 mile term, Does it end at 5 years from when the vehicle was put in service? I have 35,000 miles and close to 34 month in service and am thinking about adding the protection. Just not sure if I'm buying 5 more years and 65,000 more miles or 2 years and 65,000 miles.

I'm pretty sure it's based on vehicle in-service date.
I could be wrong, but I believe this is the case.

 

ESP begins when the vehicle's in-service date.
