Default Engineering Test Mode

Hey all,

So I have been trying to access engineering test mode on my 2013 F-150 XL (basic dash, nothing fancy). I used to be able to access this without a hitch until the last 2 days. For my model it used to be hold the reset button in while key in ignition but off for 5 seconds, then while still holding in reset button turn the key to run but not start the engine and hold for 5 more seconds. then it would enter test mode.

now it won't do it for reasons unknown to me. All i get is a message that says 'turn off to save battery" and it is super annoying. anyone know how to fix this?

thanks.

Could be the battery is low, try putting it on a charger for a bit and see if it changes.

Battery is only as strong as the BMS allows it to be. Well documented problem with this gen truck. Connect a charger and try again.
