Engine Stalled When Shifting to Reverse
New to the Forums here. I have a 2012 5.0.
I was driving normal roughly 10-15 mph into a parking lot. Got to the spot I wanted, and upon shifting to reverse, the engine stalled and about 2 seconds later I got a low oil pressure warning. Low oil pressure warning makes perfect sense. Truck isn’t running, truck isn’t circulating oil. I’m assuming it’s related to shifting into reverse since the events were bang bang back to back. I read that it’s a safety feature when rolling to far in the opposite direction of the selected gear. I usually come to a complete stop before shifting. And I have no reason to believe I did anything different here. However I was on an incline and I may not have noticed. Lastly, I just had the purge valve replaced in May. Truck proceeded to turn on and just smooth as ever. Thoughts?
