Question Engine Splash Shields

2014 F150 the rubber engine splash shields located each side of the radiator have dry rotted and torn . I removed the drivers side guess will be ok for 2400 mile trip , Ford here never has anything in stock.

Default Air deflectors

Used Osumet’s spot on pdf file to replace deteriorating air deflectors in my ‘11. Opted to mark around the paper templates and cut mine out with a box knife instead of constructing any jigs. Glued two sets together for the replacements pictured below.

I used my old torn driver's side deflector as a template and used a grease pencil to trace it. Ordered the EPDM from Home Depot ($21 shipped to the local store) which sadly is not enough to do both sides. (Anyone need a fresh Driver's Side made out of EPDM?) Used a heavy duty shop scissors and an office hole punch for the pin holes. Easy as can be, cheaper than Ford factory parts and better. Pics of the driver's side installed and a comparison of the thickness between the two materials.

Driver's Side Installed

Passenger Side is Ford Factory

Ford Factory thickness left, Home Depot EPDM right
