How do I stop receiving emails whenever someone posts in a thread I once posted in?

My user CP "subscription" option has been set to "do not subscribe" since day one, but that didn't stop 1000s of alerts nor the accumulation of "subscribed" threads.

 

Read the manual. Lol, jk. I'm not sure....

If the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the e-mail doesn't work, PM one of the mods.

 

User CP > Edit Options > "Default Thread Subscription Mode" : Do not describe.

 

I think you might have to unsubscribe to all the threads you're already subscribed to as well. I did what Pfeffer said and was still getting emails, so I unsubscribed from everything and since then the emails have stopped.

Idk why the emails are a default setting, its unbelievably annoying....

 

Does it augomatically subscribe you? I havent hit subscribe to any

 

Thats why I used an alternate email account I set up, just for stuff like this, I rarely even check it.

 

This problem just started for me like 6 days ago and after 100 posts. I've never opted to subscribe to any of the threads, and haven't changed any CP settings. Must have been a change made recently on the Mods ends. Super friggin' annoying.

 

I am getting 20+ emails everyone morning, kind of annoying having to delete them all everyday and has cause me to miss a couple emails that got mixed up in the batch. I like being able to see my subscribed threads on the site and if there are any replies, but dont think the emails are necessary.

Now I will get an email in the morning about this one. lol
