2010 f150 - Dash lights freak out, tones dinging & all gauges (except fuel & oil gauges) stop working. Sometimes happens even when I'm driving, but doesn't effect driving. If I turn truck off, during this episode, 1. truck will not start 2. Lights, tones & gauges freak out. If I let truck set for a bit, it will start, but if I shut it off it will not start again. Took to dealership and of course episode wouldn't happen. Hooked up scanner & nothing comes up.

 

From what I have read on this forum I would look at the body control module. Check that all the harnesses are plugged in tight. Maybe remove the plug and be sure the connectors are clean. Also remove the ground wire near the BCM ad clean it . Good luck. Tim

 

Check Battery Terminals to make sure they are both clean and tight. Also check body grounds and engine grounds. How old is the battery BTW since Dash Lights from hell can also be Battery going out.
