I have nothing at all against the Eco's or 5.0....hell drive what makes you happy...and what you can afford.

At that speed, he theoretically could be getting 24.7 mpg. However, if I'm only going 63-65 I'm going to pull nearly 30 mpg or more depending on the conditions.

Idk why we talk about mpg in trucks anyways. We buy them to do work. At least that's why I did.

Well saving money on gas will save your business money too. I'm self employed in construction and while gas is a tax write off I still want the best mpg possible to save money. Every cent counts.

That's true. Forgot about tax write off. My buddy does that. But he went from a gas to a diesel. In my case no big deal.

I think Ford as well as all the other manufacturers have got a little out of hand on what a 1/2ton can tow and haul safely. Im sure we can all pull a lot in EB and 6.2 11300 for mine it is rated at 9600lbs but like I said Im old school and if I am going to tow these type of weights on a consistent basis then Im getting a3/4ton. The only thing I can say to the OP is there is no way in hell your getting 26mpg. The EB is the most fuel efficient engine for has ever put in a 1/2ton and they would be hard pressed to get that milleage. Just my two cents. And as someone else stated there are *****holes in every make and model on the road.

I caN believe it. My 2010 STX reg cab 4x4 gets 22 highway 16 city with the 4.6 2V and the old 5 speed tranny.

I cant get over 21 highway but my dad borrowed it for 1,000 miles and hit 22
