EcoBoost Swap
I've been juggling around the idea of putting an ecoboost engine into my 2010 F150 XLT 4x4. I just found a 2012 w/ecoboost 4x4 also. They told me I could have everything I need to do the swap for 3K; this includes engine, transmission, transfer case, wiring harness, ecm. I know this is a really good price, is it worth doing the swap?

Sorry but I doubt you will get a quality result for just 3k. 3k these days would barely buy the engine from my research. Good luck, but I wouldn't suggest it.

You won't gain any more value out of the swap so I wouldn't mess with it. Besides just the drivetrain, you would need the BCM, PCM, gauge cluster, etc. Here is a nice read on a ecoboost swap. Slightly more involved then what you would have to go through but it shows what components are needed to get it going.http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=147380
