I was wondering how loud the turbo is on the ecoboost with a full straight pipe turbo back (no cats) compared to a full straight pipe turbo back on a powerstroke 6.0. I've been looking into getting a straight pipe for my ecoboost and I love the sound of a turbo spooling up.

It would be turbos plural with the Ecoboost and I think there is a video on YouTube.

Yeah sorry about that, wasnt paying attention this morning. Different videos sound different, I was hoping to hear from somebody that actually has the exhaust and has heard a straight piped 6.0, it's hard to tell from a video.

I do agree. Audio quality is usually not the greatest. Since the turbos are so small I don't know how impressive it is.

Straight piped 6.0s are, by far, the best sounding modern diesel. I miss my 06 from time to time.

I completely agree, the mix of the insanely loud turbo and the chopping in the motor is just special. I've heard plenty of them, just want to know how loud the ecoboost's turbos are in relation just so I know how loud they really are.

The Ecoboost turbos are super quiet, it's just the nature of the beast, nothing like a 6.NO.
You can hear them a little bit if you remove the piping after the catalytic converter.

I'm talking about a full straight pipe, with no cats. They scream when the exhaust is opened up, just don't know how much.
