Ecoboost pro's & con's

No I won't waste my time surfing the net for you for something that's been done to death. First drive impressions are closing in on a year old. Many an official drag has happened since. I got no problem with going with dozens results backing up the eco advantage.
The superiority I mentioned was "more power and torque below 4000 rpm "
This is what gets the 365 HP motor going quicker than the 411 HP motor. Every dyno comparison verifies this fact. Above 4000 the 6.2 starts chasing down the eco.
Ecoboost pro : I don't drive my truck above 4000 rpm very much. Do you?

I can't believe how heated the debate gets about this. I would say the only two dissadvantages would be maybe exhaust note if the v6 sound bothers you(although the turbo sounds does help and the fear of the unknown. The only thing that made me hesitate slightly is that this power plant is SOMEWHAT new. In the end I figured that if it seems to be holding up well which still under warranty then I will hold on to it. If I see them starting to give a lot of people major troubles then I will trade out of it.
I personally love that it is a little different, great power, nice sound and so far pretty good mileage to me.

I apologize if you all are taking my perspective as hostility, especially if you think it is directed at folks on this site. I have been e-battling guys on the raptor forums about this same topic, they post up numbers that a fx2 puts down and start rambling about how its superior to the 6.2. It MAY be, but I have yet to see an apples to apples comparison.
I have seen videos of ecoboost trucks beating harley trucks drag racing but I know nothing about the trucks so to say that they are equal in weight is speculation. I've heard several guys mention comparisons between same model trucks with the only difference being engines but I have yet to see one.

Pros: tows like a bat out of hell...., accelerates like a hotrod, ride is fairly smooth for a truck
Cons: rough idle, tranny sometimes shifts hard especially if you are not getting into it. Seems that it shifts smoother under more load. mpg is not good on short trips- doesn't matter if it's all highway or not. it take 5 miles or more to get warmed up and get decent mpg.
Mpg towing stinks, 9-15 mpg depending upon weight, wind, speed, etc. Mpg unloaded is decent at 55-60 (20-22mpg) but at 70 only gets 17.5-18.5mpg. City mpg once warmed up and if you are lucky to time the lights correctly can get 17-18, it part suburban at 40-45mph can get 19 mpg

Pros: Best mpgs and most power of any fullsize truck that I've ever owned.
Cons: None, my truck has been flawless for the 5 months that I've owned it.
I don't tow so the towing mpgs and 26 gallon tank are a non issue for me.

I want to clarify, I am not against the twin turbo motor at all. I just have had 2 bad experineces with Ford and turbo motors... Two different trucks and under 50,000 mile the turbo's went kaboom... I am not saying that means all Ford turbo's are bad.. Just the two I had and my experience with them.. When I see a F150 with 200k miles and a twin turbo motor and no problems, then I will agree it is a great motor, as long as its the norm and not the exception. In the mean time I will wait and see what happens to others, thats why were here in the forum for most of us anyways. We want to hear about other peoples experiences and problems and success, so Pro, have not heard about a rash of turbo failures, then the con if there is it is X2......

I still find it intriguing that Ecoboost owners are referred to in negative light all the time, claiming to ruin threads, start **** matches, are pompous, whatever. Yet, here is a request for factual pro/cons from EB owners thread that is being side-tracked by the V8 owners defending their engines. A little envy maybe?
Pros: Great torque in lower RPM, better mileage than I've ever had in a pickup, I like the sound of turbos, shreds tires on demand.
