Well..., he is a Texan... Not only that, but he is an Aggie, so there is a legit excuse.

Maybe he meant to say "my F150" or "my truck" but because it is an Ecoboo, he said "my ecoboost" like "pass me a Kleenex" instead of saying "pass me a tissue paper" or "xeroxing" something instead of "copying".

P.S. I think I am entitled to do Aggie jokes having served my time in Austin for many years.

Last night, I was driving on I35 and was going ~65 and steadily passing a tractor trailer (going up hill) when he started drifting towards my lane just enough to make me slightly nervous. I stepped on it a little, it dropped to 4th, the rpm's shot up, I lost power (it actually started slowing down), and it started shuddering. Scared me big time to be honest.

This truck also recently developed a leak in the sliding rear window, it has had a door rattle since I bought it, they refused to fix it then saying it needed time to "settle in" (bs), and tells me I'm towing or not towing a trailer in error. I'm at 9800 miles and was waiting for the first oil change to have those items addressed.

To be fair, I get 18.2 mpg's (lifetime) and I do like that but, for me, that's not enough.
By chance did it throw any check engine alarm? My 2012 did this a few weeks ago. Up to that point I had zero issue with my eco and it didn't throw an alarm. My conditions we identical except I had just gone through a down pour.

i have a 5.0 had the shudder, had a reflash and since ive been driving like a grandma, nice and easy so the tranny will adapt, i stay in the right lane, if theres a tractor trailer in the right lane, i dont pass him unless i have to take a *****, i make sure i give myself more than enough time to get to my destination so i can go slower, and easier on my truck. slow and steady doesnt win the race, but it saves some gas and long term wear.

For you fellows that think I'm just bashing the EB look back at my first couple responses. Looking at the product as a whole, I think it's a good motor. I hope you understand that getting a truck with some issues (especially the shudder and lose of power) is enough to make someone want to look at something different. Hopefully I can get most of the issues resolved at the dealer and start bragging about my truck again

Sticker was 45,300, paid 36,600

10,000 miles is when it needs to be changed

When I was searching for a truck, I was leaning towards the ecoboosts, but I test drived the 5.0 and I really liked how it responded, you can say love at first sight

I had the shudder and posted about it with my Platinum 5.4. It went away after 13,000 miles. Truck runs like a top and it has been removed from life. Just sayin. It has nothing to do with the engine. The Trani is adaptive so drive hard like your trying to beat every Hemi you come across and it'll go away.

Hey have any of you North Texas guys ever dealt with Vernon Ford? They offer a lifetime warranty and have been considering them for my next purchase.

A small percentage of EVERY vehicle (or product for that matter) will have manufacturer defects. That’s just the way of the world. You can’t mass produce anything without having issues with a few units. That’s what warranties are for.
