Default Ecoboost Durability

Looking for some info from the Eco owners out there. Im looking at pulling the trigger on a 2015 with the Eco when they come out. I currently have a 2011 with the 5.0L. Just wondering if anyone with high km or miles has had any major issues with there Eco.

They are reliable despite some v8 owners attempts to otherwise.

I don't think Ford would be putting all their marbles into ecoboost if they didn't think it was going to be reliable! I bought my 13 ecoboost a couple months ago and couldn't be happier. Best powerplant I've experienced in a truck after owning 2 13 ram hemi's, a 09 sierra denali, and an 07 5.3 silverado, but that's just my opinion, and I'm sure a thousand others will argue that! I put about 60,000 kms a year on my vehicles and hope to get 8-10 years out of this truck. Hope that helps and shows there are some of us out there that have faith in the ecoboost engine!

I just passed 10k on mine and I've had no problems and I've even had my bov vented to atmosphere for 6000 of those miles probably. Going to be removing my silencer rings soon also probably

They did all this to it, I am sure it will survive whatever you can do to it!

They were tested with regular fuel but I'm like you I only put in premium or mid grade if it's too expensive lol I've used regular 1 time and my truck didn't like it to much lol

If they fix the problem of it shutting down in raining conditions it will be a good investment. Until I see the results of pending litigation I will support the v8.
