Default EB Intercooler Protection

How many of you are doing something to protect your intercoolers?
There are some covers out there, but I'm not sure how much I like them.

Thanks!

Based on the lack of response. . . no one is concerned about their potential intercooler damage, and that's a good thing!!

I installed a lower grille on mine. Though I wish I had spent the extra money on the Boost Bars version.

Was wondering the same thing. Being here in Maine winters I don't wanna drive through a snow bank and clog stuff up or allow debris to get in the inter cooler. But I guess no one has had issues with snow or debris so I won't worry about it.

Installed a Full-Race IC on Monday.

Alternately, expanded steel painted to match.

I have debated this issue, theres no doubt a grill looks better, but the engineering behind the IC and restricted air flow is keeping me from filling the hole in. These engines are so sensitive to so many variables that I am gonna leave open. I am concerned more about rocks than bugs..Take a look at your radiator, you cant stop the bugs but it has no effect on working. I don't want have to worry about taking my truck in for service to have dealer blame the grill for any issues that could arise. I will see how things go, may not even truck as long as last one if it starts breaking down..
