I also am wondering the same thing. I want to see one on a truck before I make the purchase. I assume they look just like a fuel grille.

I have the black 3.5mm mesh full grille replacement unit. Fit and finish was good. The grille shell is plain unpainted gloss black plastic and the mesh is painted gloss black. I covered the entire grille assy. with Plasti-dip to match my bumpers.

Modular - you think the gloss black on the plastic will look good on a black truck?

I think it would look fine. The finish on the plastic was nice. Now that I think back on it the frame was painted gloss black, not just bare plastic.

Not to hijack the thread, but I think the grille you have now looks perfect on your truck, if I had a Lariat or an XLT, I would have definitely done what you did, it looks alot like a HD grille. Just my opinion lol.

I had one of their grills installed earlier, but replaced it with the c-clamp when i updated my truck. It was a fill replacement, fitment was good. I hated the chrome surrounds that came around the fogs so I painted them black.
Never got around to hooking up the lights though so cant comment on that.. here's a pic to give you an idea

That looks nice. Not really wanting the lights but the billet looks clean. Also considering the black mesh
