Yes! It was the seal around the back window. Water got in, ran down, filled up the channel under the step plate, and soaked the carpet. Guy in the business of fixing leaks said >90% of the time it’s the back window seal - dries out, shrinks, and cracks.

Pull your carpeting back as far as you can and get some good fans running. Takes several days to dry it out.
