Drive Slippage?
I have a 2011 F150 Echoboost truck. when I hook on my dump trailer (loaded or empty) and start to take off, there is a slippage or binding someplace. I don't know if its the driveshaft or the rear end. if I start off slow, It will sometimes not do it, but if I take off at a normal speed then it will skip/slip. It will do this sometimes when I have no trailer on, but always when I do have a trailer attached (extra weight/stress). Im going to drop the shaft and lube the slip yoke as I understand that is a concern, however I don't get that thump noise that they claim happens when yoke is dry. Any ideas? Anyone? -Thanks

I'd think slippage and thumps are two different things.
If its thumping, definitely lube the slip yoke before anything.Ford has special teflon grease especially for slip yokes, works great used it on my Jeep XJ.
Could also be a Ujoint or something loose in the rear suspension.
If its truly slippage, then you're probably looking a tranny issue. I'd check the fluid level before pushing the panic button.
When was the last time the tranny fluid and differential lube was changed?
