I guess this shows there are multiple ways to accomplish the same thing..
Some pics of the job during and after the mod would be nice..

Good Luck...

Looks like buck and stig set you on right course.

I was going to suggest the Ampr Research Powerstep install instructions, as it tells you what wires to tap into at the smart junction box at pass side kick panel. Was going to link to that doc here for you, but Amp site undergoing maintenance right now and could not.

Good luck. thx.

Thanks John, I'll check that out too. I called Amp a while back and they said their lights are not compatible because the OEM steps aren't actually Amp, they're licensed through Amp but have different components....brackets, controller, etc.

I don't have my platinum yet, but just thinking through this.....there would have to be a trigger there already for the steps to come out currently. Not sure where that runs from, but why not tap into that? It should be close to the boards already.
Just a thought.
Thx

Interesting. At any rate, the install instructions call out the same wires that buck did. I think they call the purple, violet, or the violet purple. At least no one is saying lavender . .

You can pick them up in the SJB or in the door sills.

Can someone verify these colors for me? I'm into it right now and can't find those colors in the door sills.

Where is this 26 pin plug? Where is going to be the easiest place to tap into?
