My door shows ajar even though it is closed. When setting the lock/alarm on keypad, the door will lock but will not set alarm as if door is open. Cargo and interior lights also stay on until they time out. Is this an electric switch?

 

Usually is. It's located inside the door. Sometimes a little Spray lube will remedy the issue, other times the switch needs replaced. Fairly common on Ford trucks.
