Is there any of those plastic clips all the way around the door panel that u have to pry the panel off of them just like the old door panels used before 10yrs ago?

once you remove the screws, it just lifts up and off; no popping off any plastic clips
not 100% sure, but I'd bet it isn't too different

I've removed and installed many door panels on many cars/trucks. Our F-150's are the easiest I've ever done as far as removing and installing. I really like the fact that there are no press fit fasteners!

Perfect write up. Now this is why I joined a forum to get info like this not a bunch of bi#@h fest on what motor is better or get more mpgs I don't care. If there were only a few more write ups like this on other parts of the truck.

Yes, great write up! I just posted a question in the speaker problem thread. I can't tell from the pic but does the door have some sort of vapor barrier? Any door panels I took off on cars previously had a large vapor barrier applied just behind the door panel.

I have to swap out my mirror so this will help a lot.
Awhile back I saw one where they were using a door removal kit with a bunch of plastic tools to pry out the interior parts - good to know it can be done with regular tools and no grief. Now maybe I'll get going on it.
