Default Door lock Delay

I have a 2010 XLT SCREW and was wondering if I could set the door locks to delay 5 seconds. I like to leave my keys in the truck, but after I hit the lock button on the door they lock immediately. I often need to grab something out of the back and this is becoming annoying.

Thanks in advance.

I agree that it would be nice to have a delay on it so I can press the lock button as I get out of the front seat and still have time to open the rear door to get my son out. Its not always easy reaching for the key to lock the doors after I've pulled him out and he's asleep on my shoulder or fussy.

Never heard of a door lock delay, nor have I seen a way to program it. Just lock it after you get the stuff out of the back. Or keep your keys with you, which is probably safer anyway.
