Default door handles

i have a 2011 XLT now and im in the process of whitening out alot of the black, i want to do the black on the door handles and tail gate handle, what have you guys done or think is the best option... id prefer not to buy new handles but if i must i will.. what would buying chrom covers and getting them painted be like?

TKO on here bought the chrome covers and painted them black with success!

i want to keep the handle chrome just make the black plastic white... and would plasti dip match the ford white?

its not a big deal to get them painted, im getting fender flares and a grille painted at the same time anyways... i think im gonna go with covers... seen some pics on google of painted covers and they look good

years ago you would never paint chrome because the paint they had wouldn't adhere well and would peel off in a short time. today they make a primer and all kinds of products to paint over chrome without any issues. So paint away!

Yeah I would of agreed. This hasnt flaked or chiped in 6 months. Alot of mud and washes still looks great. It was just sanded down to bare plastic then prepped and painted
