Door failure
Here's a question for the best of the best mechanic here, and I'm willing to bet there are some good ones.
I have had a total failure of the door latch on the left rear door of my 2010 Crew. When I say total failure, I mean you can't even release the latch from inside of the door. I've been able to remove the panel and get my hand inside of the door and try to actuate the latch from the inside. No Go. There is no resistance when the leaver is moved. It is a internal failure. I tried to remove the door by unbolting the hinges, but it will not release from the door jam.
Where do I go from here. I can't claim a warrenty issue due to too many miles.
Other problems I've had:
2 serpentine belt pulleys
2 diffential carrier bearing
4 door latches, one on each door
The check engine light stays on, even after the code for evaporative system is cleared.
Left front bearing hub.
Got a bad one didn't I. I've been driving F150's for over a million miles (truely) and 35 years. I've had more trouble with this truck than all of the others put together.
Thanks for any help. Al
