Default Dome light replacement

I have a new 2013 fx4 and want to put led lights in the map and dome light. I can't get the dome light cover off. Anyone know a trick to this. Thought it would just pop off but it's not wanting too.

I have found you need a very specialized tool for this job. My solution was a hotel key card. (one that looks like a credit card). For the front map lights run the card along and center it in the front of the light (closes to the windshield) use the card to give you space to put your fingers and slowly but firmly pull down. You will feel like you are going to break it....but it will snap out. I have down this several times on two different vehicles; caution what works for me may not work for you. Proceed with caution.

I just pulled on it and it came right off. I used a flathead on the rear dome light to release the clips.

Took me 45sec to pull mine out. Just pull the whole overhead console out of the headliner, pop the clips on the light, and you're there. I used VLED 194s in mine.

I got it. Found a YouTube and got it down. Lake the LED so much better. Had them in my old truck
